PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Eve Miguel
Eve Miguel, is the principal investigator of the HUM-ANI project. She is an ecologist and an epidemiologist specialized in the thematic of pathogens spillover among species. She is a permanent researcher (CRCN) at IRD, the MIVEGEC laboratory since October 2018. She will monitor the project mainly for the eco-epidemiological aspects and will work in close collaboration with all partners of the project. She has a PhD from the Montpellier University (France) on buffalo – cattle interactions and on the epidemiology of foot and mouth disease in Zimbabwe. Her research is mainly focused on pathogen spillover and hosts species jump at Human / Nature interface. She is trying to understand the role of biodiversity on infectious diseases in multi-hosts system. She is also interested in human well-being and animal conservation in austral africa countries and by scientific popularization and sustainability sciences

- I will coordinate the project. I will be involved in the 4 WP
- I will do my best to bring smoothness between WP
- Organize trainings for local capacity buildling

- Develop new tools to enhance dialogue between researchers, local stakeholders and students
